Top 5 *chefs kiss* items on our menus

Having been in the food industry for over 30 years, Jonathan Byrd’s has been fine-tuning our menu to create a well-thought-out (and delicious) selection of appetizers, entrees, and desserts that cater to any client's needs. From plated entrees to passed hors d’oeuvres to buffet-style meals, our experienced culinary team has got you covered. It was near impossible to pick five of our favorites, so check these out below and just know there are a lot more where these came from.

#1 - Antipasto skewers

These delightful little appetizers will please any palette with a refreshing bite that is as easy on the eyes as it is on our tastebuds. From the garlic herb marinated tomato to the delicious mozzarella ball - there is nothing to dislike about these easy-to-eat apps.

#2 - Black bean and corn salsa

We know “cowboy caviar” is blowing up on social media right now, and we’re happy to have been way ahead of this trend! Our black bean and corn salsa is the perfect addition to your hor d’oeuvre table, from color to flavor and everything in between.

#3 - Grilled salmon

This plated meal option is sure to wow your guests with both presentation and flavor. If you’re looking for a lighter option to add to your menu, this perfectly prepared fish alongside some delectable, colorful veggies is truly Instagram-worthy.

#4 - Cajun shrimp + cheddar grits

Add a little spice to your event with this heavenly take on shrimp and grits. A part of our New Orleans package, this meal presents beautifully in a buffet line-up (which is not as easy as it seems!) and tastes every bit as good as it looks. If you’re looking to switch things up, this whole package is to die for!

#5 - JB’s fried chicken

We would be remiss if we didn’t have this menu item on the list. It put us on the map way back in our cafeteria days and will always be a Jonathan Byrd’s staple. This perfectly crisp, light, fried chicken is the crowd pleaser. We’ve seen it featured at every type of event and know it will continue to be a favorite for many years.
