Fall is here! Let’s talk about the top 5 fall wedding trends.

It’s not goodbye forever, but it is goodbye to summer for now! Fall is officially here so it’s time to whip out the PSL’s, bonfires, and Hocus Pocus screenings! With each new season comes new trends and we are so excited to highlight a few of our very favorites to inspire our couples getting married in autumn (whether it be this one or the next)!

Check out some of these beautiful trends you could easily add to your big day.

#1 - Bold + bright wedding color palettes

Elite Daily notes “big, loud, and dramatic — think bold flash photography, dark and moody decor, and nontraditional brightly colored attire.” We are here for this trend! With the potential for cloudy weather (especially in Indiana), the bright, dramatic color palettes POP no matter what background you’re working with on your big day. Things like multi-colored wedding party dresses/suits/etc., dramatically colored centerpieces, and even a bold colored cake has been all the rage.

#2 - PLAID ATTIRE

“When you think of autumn, one style of clothing that never goes out of style—for good reason—is plaid,” says Martha Stewart Weddings. We couldn’t have said it much better ourselves. Consider a plaid pattern for your bridal party ‘gents to give your photos an extra posh pop of pizzaz (10 points for alliteration). We love the cozy but super stylish feel to this look and, let’s be honest, it might even be a suit jacket a groomsman would wear again.

#3 - Suspended Fall Foliage

To quote Southern Living: “Draw the eyes up to a display of foliage that could compete with the very best of fall trees. Complement with candles below, and you don't need anything else on the table.” This look is IMMACULATE and, while it might be more of a logistical undertaking than the traditional tablescapes, we guarantee it will pay off when you get your wedding photos back and you see your guest’s faces at how upscale, elegant, and breathtaking your reception looks!

#4 - AUTUMN Cocktails + Dinner menus

A luxury of getting married as it gets colder is that you can turn to those delicious comfort foods for your meals + exciting cozy cocktails without putting your guests to sleep! Get crazy and ladle up some delicious soups, filling roasts, and more! And consider serving a signature cocktail or two that features pumpkin, apple, or any other fall flavor you may love!

#5 - S’mores Bar

….need we say more? Get cozy around a tiny (contained) fire for a dessert that is sure to leave your guests wanting s’more. Consider this an awesome addition to your cake or even just have this be your solo dessert - we promise it won’t disappoint! This fun end to a meal is a unique way to get your guests interacting with their food! We’re confident it will end in some adorable photos as well.
